Grunwerg Celebrate New Products at Le Gavroche
On Monday the 23rd of August, Grunwerg were delighted to once again join forces with Michel Roux and enjoy our long-awaited product launch and networking event at Le Gavroche, Michel’s famous and sought after two Michelin starred restaurant.
New Knife Collections
Retailers and customers including Fenwick, Trevor Mottram, Potters of Hockley, Morley Stores and Harts of Stur attended the event where Grunwerg launched the brand-new Katana Saya, an innovative kitchen knife brand which brings together the very best of Eastern and Western cooking traditions in its extensive range. Katana features stunning handles, crafted from the finest wooden material in either Olive Wood or Pakkawood with a traditional chestnut shape. The entire range is crafted in the spirit of the iconic weapon of the Samurai, the Katana sword, and is made from Japanese VG-10 Damascus Steel.
In addition, Grunwerg also launched the Rockingham Forge Sunrise Collection, available in Jet, Amber, Sapphire and Emerald. This new, bright, and lively range epitomises everything that we are looking for, and which our kitchens crave... colour, vibrancy, hygiene, creativity, style, and performance.
Grunwergs customers also became much more familiar with the New Global UKON knife collection, which was designed and launched in celebration of winning the ‘ICONIC’ status by the UK Housewares Industry at the end of 2020.

Hospitality Industry Support
As well as introducing all these new collections, David Grunwerg also notified his unwavering support to the charity Hospitality Action, with a percentage of the sales made at Exclusively Housewares being donated to the Charity. Michel Roux also spoke about his success with his Tables for Heroes, which involves inviting deserving pandemic heroes for a chance to enjoy lunch or dinner for two people at Le Gavroche.
“From firemen to food store employees, from teachers, volunteers, charity workers, carers to soldiers, so many people in the community have done such a magnificent job during the Covid-19 outbreak. We want to say thank you, not just to the front-line workers, but to everyone who has done their bit to make a difference to someone else over the past year,” says Michel.
With the past year of social distancing, restrictions, and many hurdles within the housewares and hospitality industry, Grunwergs event at Le Gavroche was a fantastic opportunity to support the industry, celebrate our customers and thoroughly enjoy a long-awaited catchup over divine cuisine!
